American & European art Museum
Guido has completed multiple projects at The Marion Koogler McNay Art Museum including the Main & Auxilliary Gallery Renovations, the new 2,600 SF state of the art Central Energy Plant, and The Leeper Auditorium. The Gallery renovations included new architectural enhancements, new ceiling and wall surfaces, including fire resistant wall fabrics, and all flooring was either new or refinished wood, ceramic tile or stained concrete. The new Central Energy Plant is a 2,600 SF, state of the art HVAC system and includes all new electrical distribution system, fire sprinkler system and backlight and fiber optic controls.
The Leeper Auditorium Project consisted of the addition of a gallery space, an auditorium, a campanile, and an octagon-shaped entry vestibule to the existing museum. Design features included a recycled clay tile roof, ornate plaster wainscot, and decorative colored, concrete tile floors. Fiber optic accent lighting was added to illuminate the gallery ceiling. The Campanile serves as a decorative anchor and focal point for sculpture exhibitions. Construction also involved relocation of existing utilities The addition included a new fire sprinkler system, new HVAC ductwork, new electrical distribution system, fiber optics, and backlighting.
